The Thames Flood Restoration service is divided into two sections: Water Damage Restoration and Building Refurbishment. Our overall aim is to ensure our customers complete satisfaction with the end results.
Mould can become a serious problem in damp or humid conditions. It is caused by any number of factors - water leakage, flood damage or poor quality building - but the result is largely the same.
Mould develops in buildings where there is a substantial amount of moisture, not all of which can be detected by sight, smell or touch. Thames Flood Restoration use high-powered equipment to quickly and decisively remove harmful bacteria and fungi.
Mould can have allergenic properties which may cause irritations of eyes, nose, throat and lungs if left untreated. To prevent such bacterial and fungal infections, mould must be cleaned up: specialist treatment of areas affected by mould growth is the only solution. This is done with a special mould spray and mildew cleaner, which is a combination anti-fungal, anti-bacterial compound used to kill the living elements of the mould and aid in mould removal.
Mould can appear on walls and carpets as well. Make sure your carpets are thoroughly dried and cleaned to avoind unpleasant mould growth and odors in future.
